A beautiful smile is a great way to start the day. It helps us connect with others and generally makes us look good. COVO’s Dental Van can help.
But good dental health is way more than looks.
Studies show that dental health is deeply connected with overall health, and a lack of dental care can have ramifications beyond tooth loss. It is for this reason that COVO partners with Medical Teams International to provide urgent-need dental care to low-income individuals, with a primary focus on Veterans.
On a semi-regular basis – usually monthly – the big red Dental Van rolls into the COVO parking lot and provides extractions and fillings to those in need. COVO clients can sign up for the Dental Van by calling 541-383-2793 and asking to be added to the list. When we get notification that the Dental Van is being scheduled, we call each of the clients on the list and provide instructions.
For those without insurance, finding a source of quality dental care can be frustrating, so COVO is proud to help make these services available. Dental Van clients tell us that the services they receive have been a true blessing; relieving pain and preventing further loss of teeth.
COVO also can connect clients with the Deschutes County Health Services Dental Clinic for Adults. There is a supply fee of $20, although the actual dental services are free. Contact COVO if you need more information.
